Train accident in Jharkhand leaves four dead

Last night was a terrifying night for the people of Jharkhand. In Jamshedpur, an express train accident resulted in the death of four individuals. The victims, three men and one woman, have not yet been identified. The cause of their deaths was negligence, as they were crossing the tracks instead of using the foot over bridge.

The accident occurred near Gamharia Railway Station in East Singhbhum, Jharkhand. Around 7 pm on Thursday, the Utkal Express from New Delhi to Puri struck and killed four people on the down line near the West Yard of the station. The identification of the deceased is currently underway, but it has been difficult due to the condition of the bodies.

According to Abhishek Singhal, the Superintendent of Tatanagar Junction, “No one has been identified yet. The reason behind this is crossing the tracks without using the FOB (Foot Over Bridge). It was dark and the locomotive pilot was unaware of anyone on the tracks, despite the weather being clear and visibility good.”

Local residents have also been unable to identify the bodies. Abhishek Singhal stated, “No one has claimed the bodies yet. These were four bodies. They were crossing the tracks instead of using the foot over bridge.”
