A recent case occurred near the Naujar Katra Durga temple in the Khajekala police station area, where unidentified criminals strangled and killed a 35-year-old man late Tuesday night.

Perpetrators Escape After Committing the Crime

After committing the crime, the culprits managed to escape from the scene. The police were informed about the incident by the victim’s relatives and they arrived at the scene to take control of the body and send it for post-mortem examination at the Nalanda Medical College. The deceased has been identified as Santosh Kumar, a resident of Naujar Katra Mohalla, who worked as a street vendor. It is said that some people from the same locality had called Santosh from his home and took him to a school behind Naujar Katra, where they strangled him to death.

Investigation Underway by Patna City Police

When asked about the incident, the victim’s elder brother Ram Babu and Ajay Kumar revealed that some boys from the locality had called Santosh and strangled him to death. The victim’s brother also mentioned that Santosh had enemies among some people in the locality. It is being speculated that Santosh was killed by strangulation due to a personal dispute.
