Efforts to Demolish Dilapidated Buildings in Bihar Schools
The Department of Education’s Principal Secretary, KK Pathak, has started efforts to demolish the dilapidated buildings in schools across Bihar. On Thursday, the dilapidated building located in the district school campus in Bhagalpur was demolished. A total of 485 such buildings have been identified in the district, which will be demolished. After demolishing these buildings, the department will work quickly on further preparations. The plan is to replace these buildings with playgrounds, guest houses, and hostels.
Instructions from the Principal Secretary
In a video conference meeting, KK Pathak, the Principal Secretary of the Department of Education, instructed all district education officials to demolish such dilapidated buildings that are not in use. After surveying the buildings using drones in Bhagalpur, the demolition work began with the help of JCB machines. Bihar Education Project Director, B. Kartikeya, also inspected various schools and educational institutions in Bhagalpur on Wednesday. He instructed the demolition of old and dilapidated buildings and the construction of guest houses and hostels on the premises.
Auctioning of Materials and Allocation of Funds
The materials from the demolished buildings will be auctioned, and the funds will be deposited in the school treasury. It is worth mentioning that a total of 485 dilapidated buildings have been identified in the district, which will be demolished. The number may increase as the process continues. KK Pathak has also directed the District Education Officer to expedite the construction of a small guest house for the Education Department.
Strict Inspections and Focus on Cleanliness
The Department of Education is currently working on various missions. KK Pathak himself is inspecting schools regularly. He issues instructions to repair furniture and maintain cleanliness in schools. He also emphasizes the presence of teachers and students. The department is taking strict actions to improve the overall condition of schools in Bihar.
बिहार के शिक्षा विभाग के अपर मुख्य सचिव के के पाठक ने जर्जर भवनों को तोड़ने की प्रक्रिया शुरू कर दी है। वहीं, भागलपुर के जिला स्कूल परिसर में एक जर्जर भवन को ध्वस्त कर दिया गया है। इसके बाद अन्य जर्जर भवनों को ध्वस्त करके उनकी जगह पर प्लेग्राउंड, गेस्ट हाउस और हॉस्टल बनाने की तैयारी शुरू की जाएगी। इसके साथ ही, जिले के अन्य स्कूलों और शैक्षणिक संस्थानों का भी निरीक्षण किया गया है और उनमें जर्जर भवनों को तोड़ने का निर्देश दिया गया है। इस निर्देश के साथ-साथ, उत्पन्न मलबे को स्कूल कोष में जमा करने का भी निर्देश दिया गया है।
